Focusing Mind for Deeper Meditation, Part XV

The approach that I take with meditation is simple and can be summed up in this way: feeling the overall sensation of the body and then tuning into finer and finer vibrations.

Of course this approach sounds like it “goes without saying” in any meditation technique. However, for me it made all the difference when I began to feel and focus upon the subtle and seemingly insignificant vibrations/sensations of the body.

Another important shift in my approach with meditation was in allowing the Life Force to “take the lead,” similar to the idea of losing oneself in dance, surrendering to the Divine Current, the “Music of the Spheres.”

In this approach, I found that the mind is less likely to wander…and if it does, it is fairly easy to bring it back to “center,” as the subtle underlying current of Life Force has an uplifting, blissful-by-nature, magnetic pull on the mind. In other words, it becomes easier to focus the mind because the inner subtle resonance puts the body/mind into a swoon/trance, an energetic contortion of the body.

It is not a difficult process to connect with these subtle spinal energies (experienced as bliss). However, we can miss it for years/lifetimes, as is what happened in my meditation practice. For want of considering and feeling into what was always available in the moment (the subtle vibrations underlying all sensations of the body) my meditations remained disconnected from the blissful Kundalini energies.

I found that once I started to feel into the overall sensation of the body, with the intention to go slightly deeper, an entryway into noticing subtle vibrations was created. Please note that “slightly deeper” means very small steps were required.

For those who like step-by-step explanations, here is the process in a nutshell: feel the overall sensation of the body…feel slightly deeper (one layer deeper will suffice)…notice and acknowledge the subtle shifts in awareness, of mind going slightly into trance. That’s pretty much it.

The rest is refinement, refinement, refinement…which happens relatively quickly once you’ve made initial connection with the subtle resonance of the Life Force.

Kundalini Bliss Resonance, Part I

Recognize the shifts in consciousness, however slight, while going deeper and deeper into meditative trance, feeling into the delicate waves/radiations of the Life Force…Kundalini. These fine sensations, the “Music of the Spheres” can be experienced when feeling into the overall sensation/vibration of the body.

With this level of observing/noticing, there is also an awareness that the body naturally and automatically moves and adjusts (sometimes in micromovements), in resonance with the underlying waves and reverberations, the resonance of all sensations felt together as one “Hum” of Creation!

It is this background/underground “Hum” from which all Creation, the “Music of the Spheres,” percolates up from. The body/mind/psyche attuned to this resonance easily and naturally learns to move, dance and surrender to the play of what it ultimately recognizes as the underlying Bliss Resonance.

Any movement or posture can then be explored to infinite depths. For example, while listening to music, the body may naturally begin to move/dance in resonance with the music. By feeling into the activating essence of what is nudging/informing the body to move, there is a gradual focusing in on exquisitely delicious sensations that can be “held” by various postures of the body, along with micromovements that “squeeze” the fine essences of the Life Force through the spine and other parts of the body.

Medicine Song, Dance of Life Force in the Body, Part V

So many layers/dimensions of sensations! “Music of the Spheres” seems to best describe (at least for me) the infinite complexities/subtleties of the Divine Dance in our bodies.

Feel into the flow of the underlying “Hum” of the body, of which the body, Earth, Cosmos seems to percolate up from, expressing as finest rays, like ethereal violin strings vibrating Cosmic music, sometimes beautiful and sometimes wild/chaotic!

When feeling into the subtle overall sensations of the body, the mind is drawn deeply into the central core of what feels like the area of the physical spine…and the awareness of these delicate sensations have a way of moving/expanding the energy/life force…that then creates a kind of “ants in the pants,” giddy feeling pulsing/dancing through the body… contorting, shaking, teeth clenching, etc…all a delicious dance of what is released from the central core of the body!

Tuning into, following the “giddy feeling” that builds up in the body allows the mind to latch onto, focus upon the more subtle waves of sensations that move deeply in the energetic field of the spine. Please note that I use the term “giddy feelings” because that is a feeling that most people can relate to…it is familiar. I also want to convey here that this particular feeling can be an entry-point to connect with the finer and more delicate sensations of what vibrates side-by-side and just underneath the denser and more familiar giddy feeling. Those feelings/sensations are not as familiar…

Kundalini Hum of Creation, Part V

Do you get the meaning of what is meant in the sentiment of listening to music “so beautiful that it hurts?” That puts you into a swoon? Entranced, dissolved in tears?

There is an invitation that is offered in this kind of music to the deepest places of inspiration. All that is required is an openness to listen to and feel for the subtleties of the music that has “captured” your heart.

As you feel and dissolve into the music, you may find wave after wave of delicious sensations rolling through the body…and especially the spine! There is then a natural, primal movement of the energy (life force) that creates a kind of “contortion” of the body that is an overflowing of bliss. The experience can be on the spectrum of gentle to orgasmic.

The play of this energy is very much like dance…an ecstatic dance and play with the atoms/molecules of finest waves of the underlying Bliss Resonance, the Source of what entrances and puts you in the swoon through the music you listen to.

It’s just a matter of following the sensations of inspiration that are created by the music to its deepest Source, the “Hum of Creation!”

Sustained Momentum for Manifestation

Sometimes my creative ideas seem to lose steam, remaining in the realms of wishful thinking and stagnation. The thought of “sustained momentum” came to me recently as a missing piece of the manifestation puzzle. Dear Higher Self, what does “sustained momentum” look like for me in daily life?

“Sustained Momentum” is like an easily flowing river that moves smoothly through the field of life, constantly expanding and going deeper and deeper into the bedrock of creativity, connecting with Nature and Spirit, with all things and all people.

The thoughts become focused and are able to create the deep connections required with the patterns and geometries of Love’s frequency. The frequency of Love is not a closed circle, but rather an ever-expanding spiral that gains momentum and is all-inclusive.

Understand the power and magnetism of what has been gifted to you! Create everyday! Write, draw, sing! Send your prayers and vibrations of love out to the world. Understand that your thoughts and feelings create resonant fields and as you learn to feel and move with the frequency of the bliss vibration, then the field of your magnetism begins to expand, drawing to you the people and circumstances necessary to fulfill your creative intentions.

Make use of the creative ideas that come to you and then focus with sustained momentum. Use the spiraling energies that can be felt, moving with the energies and geometries that naturally form within the body and environment. As you allow yourself to naturally align with these dynamic geometries, the magnetic forms create immensely energetic fields that bring the atoms of creation together to manifest the intentions that you have in life.

You can also make use of the power of repetition to churn the field with your intentions. Repetition that is generated from the spiraling internal vibrations creates a momentum that is like a perpetual motion machine and cannot be depleted or exhausted.

When you allow the energies to move through the body, then the physical motions (sometimes known as kriyas), looks like a beautiful dance. There really is no thinking about how to move. The body and limbs just merge effortlessly with the patterns that naturally flow through the field; and then the body moves in an ecstatic dance of bliss. Certain kinds of music may help, but even without the use of audible sounds, the body can connect with the internally felt “music of the spheres.” The vibratory patterns are eternally accessible and when there is an allowing of ourselves to connect with the resonance of the field, then we entrain naturally with the Cosmic Dance.
