Connecting With the Bliss Resonance, Part V

Learning to access deep states of meditative trance is not difficult when you allow yourselves to simply feel the overall resonance of the body…with the intention to follow sensations to deeper and deeper subtlety.

The initial states of meditative trance bring a noticeable slowing down of thoughts, relaxation of body and a magnetic-like inward pull of attention to what feels like the central core of the body.

You may also begin to notice a pleasant, “feel-good” sensation building up in the spine, along with a spontaneously-occurring uplift of the eyes in their sockets. The “uplift” feeling also happens in the spine.

As you gain greater facility with feeling into and surrendering to these subtle sensations, you will find your mind/consciousness going into one-pointed focus, as the growing Bliss Resonance fills the entire experience of Being!

The feeling of the Bliss Resonance begins as a most subtle “feel-good” sensation that seems to vibrate delicately in the spine. This too, is not difficult to experience…it just requires a setting aside of any resistance to vibrations that are slightly below the surface of familiar and seemingly insignificant sensations.

When going into meditative trance, you will notice the eyes naturally lifting upwards…along with a spontaneous uplift of the spine. This “uplift” energy has a feel-good sensation connected with it.

How to connect with this “feel-good” sensation? There are many ways, but one that I suggest is this: take a deep breath…exhale, relax…and then keep the breath out until you begin to feel the need to breathe in again. However, for purposes of this exercise, keep the breath out slightly longer…feel a subtle giddiness arise…and then breathe in deeply, exhale and tune into the subtle “feel-good” sensation that accompanies the satisfying of the need for breath.

For as long as you can, focus upon the subtle, pleasant feeling that comes with the satisfying of the need for breath. A deeper connection with this feeling is developed as you follow it to its source.

Connecting With the Bliss Resonance, Part I

The resonance of the body (its overall physical vibration), holds the mind in patterns that it has grown accustomed to. These familiar, habitual patterns become the day-to-day “reality” that—over time—becomes like an old window that we can no longer see beyond  narrow constraints of the “house” that we’ve lived in for so long.

A body that is filled with toxins will reflect the vibration of illness in body and mind. If you wish to shift to a higher level of power and capacity, to attract the resources, knowledge and wisdom that make for a more fulfilling life, then the prime directive would be to change your frequency range to a finer resonance that is in tune with the wider and more powerful current (Life Force).

As you begin vibrating at a higher frequency, you also begin to shake up and release the “sediment” of heavy/dark energies…and this may feel like a “detox.” The body seems to require extra time to “catch up” with the higher vibrating frequencies of Spirit…and so it is important to keep the body in good condition (healthy, high vibration foods, exercise, etc.).

The body can also be thought of as a kind of battery and/or pump that is able to store and move energy. Another important capability of the body is that it can refine and distill energy…and with refined energy comes the birth of spiritual vision, connection with Divine purpose and the expression of the unique gifts you are meant to share on Planet Earth.

In the beginning it is enough to “capture” the fleeting moments, the “split seconds” of noticing the sensations of the underlying “hum” of the body. Also, because the sensations are so subtle, there can be a tendency to dismiss or discount them. However, by paying attention, by noticing and acknowledging the subtle “feel-good” sensations (if even for a fraction of a second), you might also come to feel its connection with the wider field or current that can be felt as the underlying “hum” of the body.

These fleeting, “flash-in-the-pan” moments of noticing subtle sensations is oftentimes coupled with split second periods of “no-thought”…as deep attention to subtle vibrations creates little gaps in thinking. This is significant insofar as this experience creates the inner acknowledgement that you have the capacity to consciously and intentionally feel into finer and finer vibrations.

Knowing that you have the capacity to tune into subtlety may not necessarily be a “big bang,” transformational experience of Divine Awakening. Paradoxically however, the experience is hugely significant because it represents a transformative shift in your relationship with Life Force and sense of Self. It signifies your entry point into the Divine Subtlety and connection with the Bliss Resonance!

Focusing Mind for Deeper Meditations, Part III

Using will and intention to focus the attention to one-point may have less than satisfactory results, especially if using the mind to focus the mind. I have found that incorporating the feeling/sensation aspect of the body is crucial in “holding” the mind in place.

Oftentimes, our notions about the “focused mind” is very different from the actual visceral experience of the focused mind. There is a sensation/feeling involved…and the feeling is like an energetic “grid” that holds/focuses the mind.

In normal waking consciousness, we focus upon our day-to-day duties and responsibilities and more often than not “float” around with little awareness when not involved in work or duties. The mind defaults to habitual patterns, engaging in what we “like” and moving away from what we do not like.

Sometimes we get “pulled” towards all manner of distractions and desires, losing endless hours, days…lifetimes, unmindful of all the forces, subtle and not-so-subtle at play in our lives!

When mindfully feeling into subtlety, the direction of focus is inwards, to the overall resonance of all that we feel in the moment. Initially the mind will think/say, “So what! Big deal!”

Now, for want of allowing ourselves to go a little below the surface of habitual, familiar patterns of thinking and feeling, we remain disconnected from unexplored realms of breathtaking beauty…

Even when we have an intention to connect with subtlety, even when we have a meditation practice, the mind can remain a formidable gate keeper, preventing us from entering the depths of meditation.

In my experience, even with years and years of regular and long practice of meditation, I found the Divine Subtlety elusive. I had a particular meditation technique and routine that I did my best to follow…but found that I reached a plateau. I found that my mind would inevitably wander into subconscious memories, distractions, sleep, etc.

What happened? Well, in my “practice” of meditation technique, I would keep my body in meditation posture and then practice technique, which called for focusing on certain “currents” in the spine, while inwardly observing the incoming and outgoing breaths.

As mentioned, for the life of me, I could not seem to get beyond a certain depth in my meditations. It wasn’t until leaving the ashram and releasing the tight hold that I had on meditation practice that I came to feel the very fine currents in the spine.

In the ashram, I was practicing technique, but was not allowing myself to feel the very subtle push/pull/play of the “life force” moving delicately in the body and especially in the spine.

What I mean by this is that in holding my body in certain meditation posture, using will to keep it still, I was not tuning into, feeling the subtle play of energies (life force) at play in maintaining the erect posture.

I was also not feeling into the subtle sensations of the incoming and outgoing breaths. In my deep release of the ashram, along with my rigid attachments to meditation techniques, I found the life force automatically adjusting and moving the body in “micro-movements.”

Meditation then became a dance of exquisitely fine sensations, moving so very delicately in the spine, holding the body/mind/psyche as though electrified!

Kundalini Divine Nectar, Part IV

The approach of feeling into the resonance of the overall vibration of the body has a way of naturally and easily drawing the mind to a one-pointed awareness…an awareness of all sensations felt as one resonance of Being!

A delicate balance point is created as the mind that “holds” to the central core of the overall sensation gives rise to a giddiness or wobbliness of the body…a result of the interplay of contraction/relaxation, stillness/movement, incoming/outgoing breath, etc.

I think of it in this way: the experience of the body/mind/psyche that is focused upon the innermost sensation in the spine is like a play of the finest strands of silk moving in delicious spirals through what feels like the central core of the body.

Feeling into this subtle sensation has a way of naturally interiorizing the mind. Body, mind, breath are “held” as though gently electrified in different postures that allows the flow and overflow of energies to move without getting stuck.

These “postures” taken up by the body are not static, “thought out” positions, but rather dynamic geometries of the body guided by the Life Force, oftentimes in incremental micro movements…like a slow-motion dance!

When Kundalini Awakens, Part VII

The sensations of the inner current, as felt in the spine, holds the mind in delicate trance…focused on the gentle feeling of “upliftment.” This type of meditation is not a passive kind in which the body remains in one position, unmoving. Rather, the buildup of energy in certain areas of the body (particularly in the spine) causes the body to take up certain postures that allows for a greater flow and overflow of the life force.

These movements (oftentimes in fine increments) of the body happen naturally and automatically. The mind’s connection/attunement with these subtle sensations creates a “contortion” of the life force, a buildup of energy that spirals and pulsates up the spine.

It seems that by merely focusing upon the overall sensation of the body, the energy begins to build up to a point that naturally requires the body to adjust, to move in ways that allows greater accommodation of the rising tide of energy. This may look like a contortion of the body, shaking, spiraling movements of the spine, etc.

The body and breath seem to adjust on their own (automatically) allowing the energy to expand and flow without constriction. This can be thought of as “surrendering to the dance.”

This feeling of “upliftment” is a visceral, physical sensation of the life force in the spine…a lifting upwards of the head and spine and even the eyes.

Kundalini Bliss Resonance, Part I

Recognize the shifts in consciousness, however slight, while going deeper and deeper into meditative trance, feeling into the delicate waves/radiations of the Life Force…Kundalini. These fine sensations, the “Music of the Spheres” can be experienced when feeling into the overall sensation/vibration of the body.

With this level of observing/noticing, there is also an awareness that the body naturally and automatically moves and adjusts (sometimes in micromovements), in resonance with the underlying waves and reverberations, the resonance of all sensations felt together as one “Hum” of Creation!

It is this background/underground “Hum” from which all Creation, the “Music of the Spheres,” percolates up from. The body/mind/psyche attuned to this resonance easily and naturally learns to move, dance and surrender to the play of what it ultimately recognizes as the underlying Bliss Resonance.

Any movement or posture can then be explored to infinite depths. For example, while listening to music, the body may naturally begin to move/dance in resonance with the music. By feeling into the activating essence of what is nudging/informing the body to move, there is a gradual focusing in on exquisitely delicious sensations that can be “held” by various postures of the body, along with micromovements that “squeeze” the fine essences of the Life Force through the spine and other parts of the body.

Medicine Song – Dance of Life Force in the Body, Part I

Medicine Song is the pulse and heartbeat of the Life Force dancing through the body…and the mind that surrenders to its rhythm and repetition, learns to follow the lead of a most sensitive and subtly nuanced Cosmic Songwriter!

In tuning into, feeling and listening to the fine sensations in the body (especially the spine), you begin to recognize certain vibrations/frequencies that impart an experience of “sweetness” and that naturally draws the attention deeply within. This is your Medicine Song!

As you feel into the flow of how your Medicine Song moves through the body, you begin to recognize the subtleties of “sweetness” and how the body/mind/psyche easily falls/surrenders in dance to the delicate waves of sensations that move like the finest silken threads of sweetness!
