The Great Alchemist, Love – An Answer for World Peace

Dear Higher Self, there is such warfare, anger and hate on this planet! What can we as individuals do to help alleviate this?

It takes each individual to ask themselves this question and we thank you for asking.

Although it takes every individual to work together to bring about global peace, each individual has world-shaking power to catapault all nations towards a higher consciousness of nonviolence. Do not underestimate your power to move the hearts of nations towards this understanding!

As you learn to drop to your center
where the little self falls away, you will feel your connection to all hearts; and with the understanding of that connection, you will also know how to project your love into hearts now burdened by anger, sorrow and hatred.

The vibration of beauty as experienced in Nature has the power to permeate the hearts of those open to its light. Those who are closed off to that light have locked themselves into their own self-created prisons. And yet from their prisons they are still able to send out missiles of hatred that destroy lives and maim bodies, perpetuating hatred and anger in the lives of people around the globe.

The power of hatred and its explosive power are not more powerful than Love. Souls encased in their prisons of anger send out bombs of hatred. Lovers of the Great Spirit can also send out missiles that can break down the thickest walls of anger and hatred. It can even shoot down missiles of hatred from the skies!

If you realize the power of love to accomplish this, then your power as an individual is manifested in a divine way. The problem usually is in believing in your own power to do so. It is divine power borrowed from God. Love is not weak. It can answer anger and hatred blow for blow, not with force and brute strength, but through its transforming power. Love is the Great Alchemist, transforming dark hatred and delusions of separateness into the beatific experience that we are all of One Consciousness, brothers and sisters of One Light, separated for only a short time by dreams of sorrow.

Love is usually thought of as being a weak response to hatred, a turning of the other cheek. It can be that, but it is also strong enough to prevent harm! The forgiveness of Love is powerful, and Loves’ power to prevent bodily damage is practical. Both are necessary. It just takes individuals—one by one—to awaken from the dream nightmare of separation. And—one by one—as you help to awaken others from their dreams of suffering, it is not a far step towards the global awakening wherein the nightmare of war and anger fall away quickly, sloughed and cast aside like heavy blankets no longer needed.

Zeitgeist the Movie

I watched “Zeitgeist the Movie” with great interest. It touched upon much of what I have come to know about the power of religion to control and manipulate people in the name of God. Regarding 9/11 and the powers behind that event, I would not hesitate to consider the possibility of government involvement. However, what is true and what is false regarding the event? That question will continue to be an agonizing dance of confusion that will keep people in perpetual unbalance.

It is so much easier to just believe that it was a terrorist act by outside enemies. So much easier to keep it neat and tidy by not questioning inconsistencies. The lazy mind needs an outside enemy to label and quantify what it does not want to grapple with. And to be fair to the detractors of the movie, perhaps it’s easier in our “paranoia” to blame the government, the “secret societies” that remotely pull the strings and threaten to usurp all of our so-called freedoms. The mind is very expert in creating phantoms either way. No matter how many facts and scientific data are presented in proving, or disproving the 9-11 conspiracy, the use of misinformation will keep us in ongoing confusion and thus ambivalence (which is the best place to keep individuals if you want to control them, to keep them from acting and questioning).

I think there has been much withheld from the public, and so much misinformation and falsehoods injected in the 9-11 event. It seems that the next big revolution will be in our collective efforts to dismantle our own fear-based thinking and belief systems, and to act according to free conscience. I believe that until we do our own housecleaning (connecting and communicating with, understanding, and finally transmuting our own darkest fears), it will be very difficult to not continue walking in lockstep with the ongoing parade of a world psyche so ensconced in fear and hate (even as we rail and gripe about the “dark forces”).

Having been in a monastery for so many years, I do understand the power of mythology and cultural belief systems to create mental prison far stronger than metal and concrete. In this mental prison, God will manifest in whatever form we find most endearing, whether in the form of Jesus, Krishna, Muhammad, Heavenly Father, Divine Mother, etc. etc. As beautiful, beatific and life-affirming these experiences can be, our attachment to the form and phenomena can just as easily keep us stuck in narrow confines of how we think God is and should be; insisting and constraining God to manifest in ways we deem acceptable.

Just as God can manifest in the way that is most beloved by us, so too our fears will manifest just as powerfully according to how our minds have come to believe and accept. In a sense, 9-11 is an inside job, a tragically real and yet symbolic representation of our own twin towers, our dual nature of light and darkness and the battle that rages between heart and head, love and fear. In this battle, both are razed to the ground; all dark beliefs and fears dismantled that out of the carnage may arise the Phoenix of an awareness of our own vast natures, and an understanding that we are Beings of incredible beauty and strength! The Universe is bringing us to the point wherein we are being forced to experience the death of our little selves, forced to look squarely in the face of all beliefs that no longer serve us so that we might step into the light of our Higher Selves.

The word “zeitgeist” is a German word meaning “spirit of the age.” Zeitgeist the Movie challenges us to look beyond the veils of beliefs and assumptions we hold tightly to and to throw wide the curtains to observe the cultural climate that influences our every thought and action. So far in the first part of this 21st Century, 9-11 seems to be the signature stamp for the Zeitgeist of our milieu: fear, terrorism, economic instability and uncertainty all seem to reverberate so strongly in our world view. Perhaps it is not so different from the zeitgeist of past centuries, but the possibility to connect quickly and intimately with an international community makes our era quite unique and filled with great potential; and it seems that the very medium of the Internet is helping to bring this about.
